Personal Injury Practice:

Assault & Battery - the combination of the two crimes of threat (assault) and actual beating (battery). They are both also intentional civil wrongs for which the party attacked may file a suit for damages.

Construction/ Industrial Accidents - This area of law deals with obtaining compensation for injuries caused by the negligence, carelessness and/or intentional misconduct of builders, general contractors and sub contractors. There are many special laws and regulations which govern the responsibilities of builders and contractors. Violation of these laws and regulations establish liability against these individuals and companies. Products Liability - It is the responsibility of manufacturers, distributors and sellers of products to the public, to deliver products free of defects which harm an individual or numerous persons and to make good on that responsibility if their products are defective. These can include faulty auto brakes, contaminated baby food, exploding bottles of beer, flammable children's pajamas or lack of label warnings.

Sexual Abuse - The intentional touching, either directly or through the clothing, of the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of any person with an intent to abuse, humiliate, harass, degrade, or arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person.

Burn Injuries - This area of law deals with obtaining compensation for burn injuries caused by the negligence of others or a defective product.

Wrongful Death - an area of law that seeks to provide compensation to the heirs of a person whose death was caused by the negligent, willful, or wrongful act, neglect, omission, or default of another.

Slips & Falls - "Slip and fall injury" or "trip and fall injury" is the generic term for an injury that occurs when someone slips, trips or falls as a result of a dangerous or hazardous condition on someone else's property. Sometimes, these injuries may also be referred to as "slip, trip and fall" injuries. Slip and fall injuries can result from such problems as water, rain, ice, snow, grease or other slippery substance on the walking surface, as well as abrupt changes in flooring, poor lighting, or a hidden hazard, such as a gap or hard to see hole in the ground.

Traumatic Brain Injuries - This area of law deals with obtaining compensation for injuries to the head and brain caused by the negligence of others or a defective product. People who suffer head injuries or brain injuries receive compensation for medical care, medical treatment, medical bills, rehabilitation care and treatment, as well as pain and suffering damages, loss of income, and loss in the enjoyment of life's activities, as appropriate.
